[464355] Wisheart (Wishart), William. Theologia: Or Discourses of God: Delivered in CXX Sermons: Vol 2 (only, of 2). Edinburgh: John Moncur, 1816. Leather. Poor . Contains discourses 15-22, "Of making the Glorifying GOD our Chief End, and our great Employment and Business; Of God's Blessedness; Of His Decrees; Of the Unity of the Divine Essence; Of the Trinity of Persons in the God-head; Of Beholding the Glory of GOD in the Glass of the Gospel; And of Propagating the Knowledge of God. It appears that the remaining volumes of the 120 sermons were never published. William Wishart (1660-1729), was minister of the Tron Church, Edinburgh, and Principal of the University of Edinburgh, as was his eldest son, of the same name, a few years later. He had been imprisoned for Covenanting principles. Front board missing, spine worn, corners of title page torn away, last sheet of index missing. GBP 55.00
